ARTIST'S STATEMENT
One of my greatest pleasures is working on location.
I am able to spend time seeking information, exploring subjects, and my
feelings about what I am doing and how my work reflects my connection to
these ideas.
For a long time I have been attracted to grand, often abandoned man-made
structures.
I also marvel at some of our present day machinery and am delighted when
I have the opportunity to watch and draw them in action.
In perusing these subjects I often plan trips and am thrilled by
unexpected encounters, sometimes they may be in car parks on the way.
I find meaning in Industrial Landscapes, their various parts and how
they relate to each other.
A 'Plein Air' kit always handy helps satisfy my need to capture and
create.
