ARTIST'S
STATEMENT
I like my work to convey a sense of peace, a meditative state. To
achieve this I give great attention to space in relation to the
form. The colours come later, through a meditation on what energy or
emotion each work has. I tend to use acrylic paint, oil or mixed
media. I am attracted to Asian philosophies and aesthetics; by the
same token I am attentive to fractals in the Australian bush, which
seem to make their way into my painting in a contemporary and
perhaps abstract style.
